I am John Odinot and Director of a Christian preporatory vocational education in Harderwijk. I am married to Erna and have two sons who are studying. We visit the Baptist Church in Harderwijk on Sundays, where I am the President of the Church Council. Christian values to which people give more or less equal significance are very important in a school and in a church because they provide involvement and bonding.
Since 1995 I have been working in education on a secondary school. I sometimes say jokingly: "If I'm no longer learning, I have to leave education '. I think education is meant for people who wish to develop and learn. Teachers, in good schools work together on student learning. Yet in practice I see that there are many barriers between teachers and between pupils and teachers to learn effectively with each other.
In order to ensure continuity and quality in a school organisation youre not only have to learn and develop, but also work well together.
My trip was successful as more insight has been given about how school organizations, teachers and students work effectively together to learn and develop.
